@TLBoudell There are 2 other locally stored/saved podcasts on that site which do work… I’m bummed I think I lost that other recording :-(

@TLBoudell no unfortunately that’s what I just realized - Cinch closed its doors a few months ago, & I forgot to download that file :-(

@James409Jason unfortunately at this point setting up a custom URL shortener is a fairly geeky process & not something very mainstream

via HootSuite in reply to James409Jason

@James409Jason 2 ways to protect against this: Test all shortened links before tweeting them, AND use a customized URL shortener

via HootSuite in reply to James409Jason

@James409Jason this article highlighted the problem with a parliament official in the UK recently wfryer.me/3k2

@James409Jason …getting a character wrong & going to an unexpected URL, since all the addresses shared on the site were shared by me

via HootSuite in reply to James409Jason

@James409Jason it’s a way of tracking clicks, which bit.ly & goo.gl do too, but it protects against someone accidentally…

via HootSuite in reply to James409Jason

@James409Jason I’m using a customized & self-hosted URL shortener (free/open source) called Yourls wfryer.me/3k1
