@rynomars @ClevelandPTA it’s hard 4 some to embrace a schooling mindset that isn’t standardized & 100% uniform, yet that’s how our kids are

via Mobile Web (M5) in reply to rynomars

@rynomars @ClevelandPTA 1 of the biggest challenges we face in @OKCPS is not insisting on everyone being the same - welcoming differences

via Mobile Web (M5) in reply to rynomars

@rynomars yes, supporting innovation is particularly hard in such a huge bureaucracy. We need to build a culture that supports creativity

via Mobile Web (M5) in reply to rynomars

@ClevelandPTA I’ve found group chat messaging just works well for very small groups, otherwise it’s easy to become overwhelmed (TMI)

via Mobile Web (M5) in reply to ClevelandPTA

@ClevelandPTA I’m a fan for larger school groups of using “broadcast only” messaging groups that don’t allow replies

via Mobile Web (M5) in reply to ClevelandPTA

@ClevelandPTA Some smartphones let you “mute” individual conversations but I don’t think the iPhone does currently

via Mobile Web (M5) in reply to ClevelandPTA

@ClevelandPTA I recognize unlimited SMS messaging isn’t universal, but that shouldn’t stop teachers from using group messaging services

via Mobile Web (M5) in reply to ClevelandPTA

@ClevelandPTA Kids don’t have to subscribe to SMS update services if they have quota SMS plans. Services like @remind101 also support email

via Mobile Web (M5) in reply to ClevelandPTA

@ClevelandPTA Sounds like you need to switch to @TMobile $10 per child includes unlimited talk & text. We did this past year for 2 kids

@jasonnelsonok Thanks 4 being responsive on social media to constituent feedback. We need more legislators following your lead in this way

via Mobile Web (M5) in reply to jasonnelsonok

@FoundationOKCPS thanks. The history & current situation w enterprise as well as charter schools needs greater discussion / awareness

via Mobile Web (M5) in reply to FoundationOKCPS

@ClevelandPTA why are you opposed to group text messaging? I use @remind101 w my after-school club parents & it’s fantastic

via Mobile Web (M5) in reply to ClevelandPTA

@ClevelandPTA @FoundationOKCPS So did the @OKCPS board move to make any changes to the current Enterprise school policies?
